Making the playoffs comes with a steep price in Edmonton

The Edmonton Oilers are on their way to clinch a playoff spot leaving many struggling years behind. However, playoffs tickets prices are expected to jump drastically and the fans are not too happy about it.

We just finally after 10 years through all the heartaches and all the BS and the coaching staff and the management staff — like, after all of this, they just want to take you to the wall?”  said one fan on CBC.

The seat cost of this fan is currently $163 per game. The same seat will jump to $235 in the first round of the playoff. He is not the only fan complaining as another one tweeted the anticipated ticket increase for the 2017 playoffs.

"We didn't really have the money for all those playoff games. But what were you going to do — not get the tickets? We kept doing it and just squeezed by elsewhere." said Ryan Batty, season ticket-holder.
