BREAKING: Man beaten to death with hockey stick

Randolph Tolk, 68, was pronounced dead at 12:40 am on Sunday after being beaten to death with a hockey stick by a pedestrian.

Tolk, an Uber driver in Manhattan, was driving off-duty. As he approached an ice hockey rink, the pedestrian, Kohji Kosugi tapped on the driver's car.

Tolk exited the vehicle to confront the 39-year-old, and was subsequently beaten down to the ground with the hockey stick. The attacker also stomped on his chest. 

The father of two, and grandfather of 3, managed to get back into his car and fled the scene, but clearly sustained serious injury and couldn't maintain control of the car, crashing it into a median barely a half-mile down the road.

He was rushed to the hospital but they couldn't save him.

'The attacker is a coward and should be in jail, beating and elderly man with a hockey stick is unforgivable,' NY Federation of Taxi Drivers spokesperson Fernando Mateo told Pix11. 

Kosugi fled the scene of the crime but was eventually caught on Sunday afternoon - charged with manslaughter.
