Breaking: Man down for the Chicago Blackhawks!

The Chicago Blackhawks have confirmed that forward Tommy Wingels has sustained a foot fracture during his off-season training. As of now, we are unaware of how the 29-year-old forward suffered the injury.

Team physician Dr. Terry gave more information about the nature of the said injury:

Per #Blackhawks Head Team Physician Dr. Terry: “Tommy Wingels sustained a left foot fracture during his off-season training."

Dr. Terry: "We anticipate a full recovery in six to eight weeks and in time for training camp. We do not anticipate any long-term issues.”

Over the course of his career, Wingels amassed 126 points in 373 games played, in addition to 209 penalty minutes. Last year, he dressed for both the San Jose Sharks and the Ottawa Senators, before signing a one-year, $2.6 million deal with the Blackhawks on July 1^st.
