Maple Leafs center has had surgery and will miss the rest of the season

An early report from Todd Crocker suggests that one Maple Leafs center has had surgery and will miss the rest of the season.

Brooks Laich, 33-years-old, played the last two seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Marlies. In 21 games with the Maples Leafs on the 2015–2016 season, he scored 1 goals and registered 6 assists for a total of 7 points.

This season with the Toronto Marlies, he played 27 games, scored 1 goal and registered 8 assists for a total of 9 points. It might be a career-ending injury as Laich is not the player he used to be.
