The Toronto Maple Leafs have made a move, one that many predicted several weeks ago.

A report from TSN's James Mirtle has revealed that the Leafs may be moving on from goaltender Jhonas Enroth who was placed on the waiver wire on Monday, leaving him exposed to a claim from every other National Hockey League franchise.

There have been rumors that the writing was on the wall for Enroth ever since veteran goaltender Karri Ramo began working out with the organization to rehab from an injury. Ramo remained with the team for a significant length of time despite having no contract, leaving many to suspect that the Leafs were trying to trade Enroth.

Whether those trade talks never happened, or never materialized in a deal is unclear, but it seems fair to speculate that Enorth's time as a Leaf may be coming to an end.
