Breaking: Massive update on Carey Price's recovery

Heck yes.

The Montreal Canadiens will have a huge boost to the lineup on Saturday night against the Buffalo Sabres.

Carey Price, who's been out since injuring himself in a warmup against the Minnesota Wild on November 2nd. The injury at the time was described as a minor lower-body injury. The team insisted he'd be back in short order, but it took him 3 weeks to finally make his return.

The narrative was starting to sound a lot like 2015-16, and with personal rumours and trade speculation swirling in the PQ, there was serious concern over whether he'd play again this season, at least in a Canadiens uniform.

Price has been less than stellar this season, but hopefully a return to equipment he's been successful on in the past will improve his play.

Meanwhile, Charlie Lindgren will return to the Laval Rocket, and Antti Niemi will perform backup roles.

Lindgren has performed well in his time in Montreal, but the logic behind the move is likely that he will get more development starting games rather than backing up Price - as has been the plan since day 1.
