Something is definitely brewing in Seattle.
While the National Hockey League has continued to insist that rumors of potential franchise re-location have been greatly exaggerated, the Mayor of Seattle, Ed Murray, appear to be a rather loose-lipped fellow.
In an interview with NBC, Murray spoke about his major renovation plans for KeyArena, plans there were solidified last week when a group signed on for the project, a group that included former President and CEO of Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment Tim Leiweke.
When asked specifically about the NHL to Seattle, Murray stated he believes the NHL is ready to move quickly.
"I think we'll hear something, soon," said Murray.
