The Montreal Canadiens are in desperate need of depth up the middle of their line up, and on Saturday they took a step towards solving that issue, albeit a small step.
According to an official press release the Montreal Canadiens have signed 26-year-old former first round draft pick Peter Holland to a two-year contract.

General manager Marc Bergevin announced on Saturday that the Canadiens have agreed to terms on a two-year contract with free agent forward Peter Holland.

Holland received a two-way contract for 2017-18 and a one-way contract for 2018-19.
