Breaking: Montreal's newest star has been injured!

The Montreal Canadiens have just suffered a concerning setback. 

As most fans will know by now, the Habs big offseason accusation came via the trade they made with the Tampa Bay Lightning to acquire star forward Jonathan Drouin, a player who has quickly endeared himself to the Montreal public. Now however comes the first bit of bad news involving Drouin.

According to an official report from the Canadiens organization, Drouin has suffered an upper-body injury and as a result has been pulled out of tonight's preseason contest against the Toronto Maple Leafs. 

No word on the specific nature of the injury to Drouin, but the Canadiens have revealed that it is a "upper-body injury" and while there is no timetable for his recovery as of yet, the Habs have listed him as "day-to-day."

Needless to say the last thing the Habs or their fan base want to see is their new young star begin his career with the Canadiens on the sidelines due to injuries.
