Less than 48 hours after Ron Hextall was fired as general manager of the Philadelphia Flyers, there appears to be more big changes to the team’s staff coming down the pike.

According to a report by Flyers insider Dave Isaac of The Courier Post and Newsday, Flyers assistant coach Gord Murphy is NOT on the ice along with the team’s regular coaching staff for practice this morning.



NHL insider Elliotte Friedman followed up this report and warned Flyers fans that more changes could be coming later in the day, likely pointing to a coaching change.



Stay tuned, Flyers fans. If Murphy is out the door, it could spell the end of head coach Dave Hakstol as well.  

UPDATE:

The Flyers have officially fired assistant GM Chris Pryor and assistant coach Gord Murphy.




It appears, as of right now, that Hakstol's job is safe. Stay tuned.
