You have to give it to the French language media in Quebec, when they get even a hint of a hockey related story they dig deep. As a result of that we now have more information that would seem to indicate that the Carolina Hurricanes are on their way to Quebec City.

We reported the blockbuster rumors out of Quebec earlier this evening that suggested the announcement of a sale of the Hurricanes could come as early as by the end of the season. Now other reporters are adding to those initial reports and all of the evidence seems to corroborate that a sale will in fact take place, or perhaps has already been agreed upon.

The latest reveal comes from FM93 in Quebec, who are now reporting that a major press conference has been scheduled for the 6th of April at the Centre Videotron, the new arena that was built in anticipation of the fact Quebec would get a new team. The 6th, along with the 12th have previously been mentioned as rumored dates for the announcement of a sale, and the 6th also happens to be on the eve of Carolina's final home game of the season.

There's more, according to Habs insider Marco Normandin, the Hurricanes recently met with their employees to notify them that they were discussing the possibility of a sale to foreign investors.

The next two weeks are certainly going to be very exciting.
