Despite being overlooked in the National Hockey League Entry draft, it now sounds like Swedish forward Victor Ejdsell is drawing some serious interest from teams within the league.

Detroit Red Wings insider Ansar Khan of Mlive.com is now reporting that the Detroit Red Wings are among a "handful" of teams in the NHL who are interested in Ejdsell after the Swedish giant had a breakout season.

In his most recent season with Bofors IK, the 6'5 220lbs Ejdsell put up 25 goals and 32 assists for a total of 57 points in just 50 games. Clearly a player with that kind of production, as well as his natural physical gifts, is someone NHL teams will want to develop in case they can become a force at the NHL level.

While we do not know the identity of all the teams involved in this negotiation, Khan is reporting that Nashville and Chicago are also believed to be in the mix.
