With a frantic day in the books, the NHL will have to digest all that has been going on in what would have been normally a very quiet Saturday. Some big deals were made and some teams see themselves in better position than before this artificial trade deadline imposed by the upcoming Vegas expansion draft.

However, life still goes on around the league and we just learned that the Penguins hired a new goalie coach, namely Mike Buckley.

With former goalie coach Mike Bales going to Carolina, the spot had to be filled and Buckley stepped in. A long time coach, he most importantly molded Matt Murray's style as the goaltending development coach. Working with aspiring goalies in the organization, he's seen by many as the key to Murray's development, among others.

Rumors say Mike Bales was angry about how the Marc-Andre Fleury's issue was dealt with and it could have been the reason for his move down South. Rumors or not, Fleury is still expected to be drafted by the Golden Knights in a few days and Matt Murray will continue to be the figure of the Pens future between the pipes. Hiring Buckley as his coach just makes all the sense in the world.

Good luck with the new responsibilities coach!
