Breaking: NHL and NHLPA agree to make 12 players ineligible for the draft.

The expansion draft is coming up and on Tuesday the National Hockey League as well as the National Hockey League Player's Association took some steps to protect the integrity of the process.

The two sides came to an agreement on a list of 12 players, all of whom will be ineligible for the expansion draft, largely a list of retired or injured players who still have contracts in the National Hockey League.

Here are the 12 players according to Craig Custance:

Dave Bolland

 Craig Cunningham

 Chris Pronger, Cody McCormick

 David Clarkson

 Johan Franzen

 Joe Vitale

 Ryane Clowe

 Pascal Dupuis

 Nathan Horton

 Stephane Robidas
