Breaking: NHL captain out tonight due to injury.

The Nashville Predators are visiting the United Center on Saturday night as they are set to face off against the Chicago Blackhawks, but they will be doing so without one of their star players.

According to a breaking news report from Adam Vingan of The Tennessean, Predators captain Roman Josi was not on the ice for the warm ups, and word now is that he will not be playing tonight due to injury. 

Josi had previously missed one game with a lower-body injury but there was a belief that he would be ready to go this evening, unfortunately according to Vingan's report that will not be the case.

Not only is Josi the team's captain he is also arguably their very best defenseman, it's an incredibly important player to lose ahead of a tough match up against the Blackhawks who will be on home ice.
