Breaking: NHL GM confirms part of huge trade rumor at the draft.

There have been a number of trade rumors around the National Hockey League draft, but none more stunning than the whispers over the week-end that the number one overall pick could be in play.

While those rumors initially sounded far-fetched to say the least on Monday Ray Shero, general manager of the New Jersey Devils, appeared to confirm where those rumors had been coming from.

Sitting down in a exclusive one on one interview with TSN insider Pierre LeBrun, Shero admitted that he had already received multiple calls for the number one overall pick that he currently holds.

While the 2017 NHL draft is expected to be one of the more shallow drafts in recent memory, the projected first pick, center Nolan Patrick, is viewed as an exceptional talent and it's hard to imagine a scenario where Shero gives him up.

That being said the teams calling clearly believe there is room to make a move here so we may in fact be in for a blockbuster trade at the National Hockey League's Entry Draft.
