Breaking: NHL goalie diagnosed with his second concussion of the season.

The Carolina Hurricanes were originally calling it an illness, but it seems clear now that was untrue.

According to a breaking news report from the Carolina hurricanes official website, their goaltender Eddie Lack has been diagnosed with a concussion and is expected to miss an undisclosed amount of time.

This is a major problem for Carolina as Lack has now suffered multiple concussions this season alone and is showing a propensity for being rattled by head injuries. To make matters worse it appears to be the case that as concussions add up, you become more vulnerable to suffering them and their negative effects amplify as they accumulate.

General manager Ron Francis has announced that goaltender Daniel Altshuller has been recalled to replace Lack.
