Fans and even pundits were left in the dark last night after Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand pulled another shocking antics at the end of Game 3 against the Blue Jackets in Columbus.

At the end of the game with the Jackets leading 2-1 with a minute to go, the Bruins attempted to get to goalie Sergei Bobrovsky and tie the contest to force overtime, however the veteran netminder was just too good.

It seems to anger Marchand, who after Bobrovsky stopped the puck, decided to sneak out on the goalie’s teammate defenseman Scott Harrington to punch him in the back of the head. The defenseman was on his knees and vulnerable on the sequence.

Fans and insiders could not believe Marchand’s selfish move and expected the NHL to look at the replay and make a decision on his actions.

However on Wednesday, Blue Jackets insider Aaron Portzline of The Athletic revealed that the league will not hand out any supplemental discipline to the Bruins pest.

Players cannot be fined during the postseason, so Marchand will get away with nothing for his stupid actions.

Fans have already started to react to the league’s decision, outraged that Marchand and his lengthy  history with the Player Safety department didn’t get suspended for his sucker punch.

The Blue Jackets took the lead in the series with tonight's win and maybe the Bruins think that’s enough punishment…
