Breaking: NHL insider predicts 'wild trade market' this summer.

There are a number of factors this summer that have led fans to hope for an exciting offseason, but now for the first time we have an indication how teams within the National Hockey League are viewing this upcoming offseason.

Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman was a guest on TSN 1050 in Toronto today when he revealed that NHL teams themselves are expecting some big names to get moved by the time everything is all said and done.

“I think this year is going to be a crazy one for trades. I really do,” said Friedman as per Fanrag's Chris Nichols “One thing that teams say is that the names you’re going to potentially hear this off-season are going to be incredible. So I am going to hold them to that."

There have been a number of rumors connected to some huge names, notably captain John Tavares of the Islanders, and the Las Vegas expansion draft is likely to ramp up the trade market that much more.

It sounds like we are in for a busy summer.
