The National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today heir decision to have a hearing with Nick Ritchie.

The Anaheim Ducks were playing against the Chicago Blackhawks last and Nick Ritchie made a terrible sucker punch on Michal Rozsival. Here’s what happened: 

The funny thing is the NHL Department of Player Safety announced it this way: Anaheim’s Nick Ritchie will have a hearing this afternoon for roughing/sucker punch on Chicago’s Michal Rozsival. Who knows? “Sucker Punching” is something Player Safety is terribly inconsistent about.
