Breaking: NHL prospect facing jail time over disgusting crime.

A National Hockey League prospect has been charged with a serious and disgusting crime according to a report this morning from TMZ Sports.

Chicago Blackhawks prospect Garret Ross ,who was currently playing for the Blackhawks American Hockey League affiliate Rockford IceHogs, has been charged after reportedly distributing a photo of a young woman engaged in a sexual act, an image that she reportedly never agreed Ross could share.

According to TMZ's breaking news report this is a case of "revenge porn."

According to official records obtained by TMZ Sports, Ross has been charged with one felony count of "non-consensual dissemination of private sexual images" ... more commonly known as revenge porn.

Officials say back in August, the player shared a photo of a woman "engaged in a sexual act, which was obtained under circumstances which Ross should have known the image was to remain private."

Officials say Ross also should have known the woman "had not consented to the dissemination."

Illinois is one of the many states that has recently instituted harsh anti-revenge porn laws, and this could pose a very real problem for Ross who must now appear in court next week.
