While it's the time of year when fans focus on big names that will be traded, one National Hockey League prospect appears to have quietly requested a trade.

According to a report from Isabelle Khurshudyan of the Washington Post, Washington Capitals prospect Stanislav Galiev, or more specifically his agents, have met with the Capitals to talk about moving him to a new team.

From the Washington Post:

Washington Capitals forward prospect Stanislav Galiev is on the trading block, according to multiple sources, with the NHL’s March 1 trade deadline approaching.

Galiev has 15 goals and 11 assists in 33 games with the Hershey Bears this season, but his opportunities at the NHL level have been limited. Washington has been the league’s healthiest team, and when the Capitals have needed a forward — such as Friday night against the Edmonton Oilers — other prospects have been recalled ahead of him. In an effort to help him find better playing opportunity elsewhere, the Capitals and Galiev’s representation have had discussions about trading him before the deadline.

Galiev has received extremely few opportunities since being drafted by the Capitals in 2010, and this doesn't seem like a prospect turning diva at all, but rather just a kid who is hoping he'll get more of a chance to play with another team.
