Breaking: NHL referees told to back off!

The National Hockey League has been cracking down both on stick infractions and faceoff violations, but have decided to take it easy. 

According to Sportsnet's John Shannon, league referees have been told by the league to dial it back on Friday. 

This new report should encourage several players, like Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand, who publicly criticized the changes. 

Fans will surely keep an eye on the next few games to see if they notice less infractions.
