Breaking: NHL superstar injured by teammate during practice.

This is an absolute disaster, and while sure accidents do happen all the time, one has to wonder how this could be allowed to happen at practice during the postseason.

According to a report from ESNP's Joe McDonald, the Washington Capitals may have lost arguably their best player in the form of superstar goaltender Braden Holtby. Holtby was injured in practice after colliding with a teammate, the circumstances of that incident are unclear, but we imagine it was a player accidentally crashing the net, although that is mere speculation.

Furthermore, McDonald has revealed that Holtby left the practice after the collision, and was favoring his left when exciting the ice, and as of this writing has not returned to practice.

Holtby has not only been a rock in net for the Capitals all season, but is one of the best clutch playoff performers at his position of all time. In 37 playoff games Holtby has an outstanding 0.938 save percentage, and for some context, no goaltender with 37 or more playoff games can boast those numbers, not one.
