Some huge news in the National Hockey League on Friday.
After playing in just 17 games this season Tampa Bay Lightning forward Steven Stamkos suffered yet another catastrophic injury, one that many believed would keep him out of the lineup for the remainder of the regular season.
On Friday Stamkos appeared to defy the odds took a huge step towards a comeback this season, participating in a full practice with his Lightning teammates. While Stamkos did admit that he is still not 100%, and furthermore that he does not intend to rush back, there's no way you could spin this as anything other than a huge positive for the Lightning.
Stamkos spoke to the media after skating today.
