BREAKING: NHL superstar’s little brother has just signed a tryout.

An early report from Wes Gilbertson, Calgary Flames beat reporter, suggests the AHL’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers—Isles’ affiliate—have signed Johnny Gaudreau’s brother Matt to an Amateur Tryout Agreement.

The 22-years-old forward was playing for Boston College in the NCAA earlier this year. He scored 8 goals and registered 27 assists in 40 games.

Matthew Gaudreau is slightly smaller than his brother Johnny as he’s 5ft9 and 145 pounds.

He’s expected to join the New York Islanders AHL team on an amateur tryout. If he fits in, he could stay with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers  for the AHL playoffs.

He played a total of 119 games in the NCAA. He scored a total of 63 points (16G, 47 assists) and finished at +25.

If he’s as good as his older brother, he could have the potential to burn the league.
