A National Hockey League franchise is reportedly on the verge of being sold.
While the rumors of a potential sale involving the Carolina Hurricanes have been floating around for several weeks now but on Tuesday TSN insider Pierre LeBrun confirmed that the deal was indeed close to becoming a reality.
For those who haven't heard the rumors, Carolina Hurricanes owner Peter Karmanos has reportedly been looking for a buyer for some time, and Dallas billionaire Thomas Dundon has become the clear frontrunner in recent weeks.
Here's what LeBrun had to add to the topic:

"Now the deal is not done yet, but it is certainly getting close," said LeBrun. during a segment of TSN insider Tradiing.
Now while relocating from Carolina where fans don't show up to the games would seem like the first thinking on Dundon's to-do list should he in fact buy the team, LeBrun believes that part of the sale will be a deal that guarantees Dundon will keep the team in Carolina.
