Breaking: NHL team cuts ties with their veteran coach.

A veteran coach in the National Hockey League has just been let go by his team.

The Anaheim Ducks have announced a parting of ways with assistant coach, and former NHL head coach, Paul MacLean although he was not technically fired by the organization, they merely allowed his contract to run out.

Obviously this announcement clearly indicates that the Ducks do not intend to re-sign MacLean for the 2017-2018 season and it will be interesting to see if he lands with a rival team prior to the start of next season.

MacLean is an extremely well-respected coach in the NHL, so it won't be a surprise if he gets a number of offers in the coming days.
