MAJOR office cleanup.

As reporteed by TSN insider and the Canadian Press filesBlues general manager Doug Armstrong announced Tuesday assistant coaches Ray Bennett, Steve Thomas, Rick Wilson, and Ty Conklin all would not return to the Blue staff next season.

I would like to thank Ray, Steve, Rick and Ty for their service to the Blues and wish them nothing but the best of luck in the future,” said Armstrong. “Mike Yeo and I will work together in the offseason to fill the coaching vacancies for next season.

It’s another disappointing year for the St. Louis Blues as they faced early elimination once again. Many insiders and reporters were seeing them doing a great run in the playoffs but things turned out differently.

Fact is, this team have gone through a lot of turnover in the past 9 years: “I thought this year, this team, if they didn’t max out, they were close and I think it shows you how close the NHL is because I think Nashville has a chance to win the Cup. I think we’re in a good spot. I feel much more at ease knowing that these guys are guys I think we can win with in the future.” Said Armstrong.
