Breaking: NHL team loses two forwards for months, including one star forward.

There's no doubt that Montreal Canadiens forward Alex Galchenyuk was having one hell of a season, in fact he still ranks among the National Hockey League's top 20 point producers despite missing several games due to injury.

That hot streak has come to an abrupt end however, with a breaking news announcement that Galchenyuk will now miss up to two months due to his injury, a devastating blow to the Montreal Canadiens.

To make matters even worse for the Habs they have also revealed that forward David Desharnais will also be out fora six to eight week timeline, the same timeline expected for the recovery of Galchenyuk.

Both men are dealing with knee injuries.
