Breaking: NHL team making a big push for a big trade.

We have a massive trade rumor from one of the very best sources in the hockey business. 

A breaking news report from Aaron Portzline of The Athletic has revealed that the Columbus Blue Jackets are currently stepping up their efforts to acquire a quality center via trade following the signing of forward Cam Atkinson on Thursday.

The Blue Jackets were linked numerous times to the trade for former Colorado Avalanche center Matt Duchene so it's safe to say that they are looking for either a number one or number two center to bolster their forwards.

Portzline is the best Columbus Blue Jackets insider in the hockey media and if he is confident in stating that the Blue Jackets are making a hard push for a trade, you can bet that it is happening. 

A number of names have been out there this season including Montreal's Alex Galchenyuk and Toronto's Tyler Bozak, however there has been no word from Portzline regarding who the Jackets may be targeting at the moment.
