The Edmonton Oilers are expected to be able to count on the return of Leon Draisaitl and Drake Caggiula for tonight's matchup against the Pittsburgh Penguins, but their return to action might be costly to an NHL veteran.

It seems that veteran Jussi Jokinen will be the one to sit out of tonight's game. He would be a healthy scratch for the first time in close to 900 games in the NHL.

Through seven games with the Oilers, Jokinen has yet to find the back of the net. He has amassed just one assist.

The 34-year-old signed a one-year deal in Edmonton this past summer.

The young rookie Kailer Yamamoto is expected to remain in the lineup as he has been more than impressive this season, despite the Oilers' rough start.

Jokinen might have to find a way to get back in... from the press box.
