He's willing to play anywhere.

A National Hockey League veteran is currently the focus of a number of trade rumors and his latest comments appear to indicate he may welcome a trade.

Ottawa Senators veteran center Derick Brassard has been linked to a number of teams already and while he could block as many as 8 teams with his limited no-trade clause, he makes it sound like that won't be a factor.

"Let's say it this way: I will play hockey anywhere," said Brassard. "I Have good memories, but my job is to play hockey here. I'll play anywhere. I wouldn't refuse to go anywhere in the world or anywhere in the east. I have really good memories of playing in Columbus, we had a lot of fun.

"We had some tough seasons, but I think it made me a stronger person, stronger hockey player. I remember some really good times there."

It certainly sounds like Brassard would welcome a trade back to the team that originally drafted him, the Blue Jackets, and one could even argue that it sounds like he wants to make that public knowledge.

The Senators have reportedly made everyone outside of Matt Stone and Erik Karlsson available for trades, so you can't really blame Brassard for trying to put himself in a situation he would like should he be dealt.
