Breaking: NHL will discipline Nazem Kadri for death threats.

There was a controversial incident between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Calgary Flames earlier this week, and now it appears the National Hockey League will be handing out some discipline to Maple Leafs forward Nazem Kadri.

According to a report from Sportsnet insider Nick Kypreos although Kadri will not be suspended for the words and gestures that amounted to death threats on the ice, the NHL has determined it will issue a fine against the player for his actions. UPDATE: NHL Public Relations has announced the fine will be in the amount of $5,000.

While players obviously trash talk each other constantly on the ice, Kadri's gestures and words were clearly caught on camera, and this is likely what has prompted the NHL to fine him.

Here's a look at the video of the incident.
