Breaking: Niemi on the ice in Montreal

Here they are, the first images of new Montreal Canadiens goaltender Antti Niemi, who took the ice with some teammates this morning in Brossard.

Niemi, who was claimed off waivers on Tuesday by the Habs from the Florida Panthers, was on the ice with goalie Charlie Lindgren and netminding coach Stephane Waite.

The veteran goalie is expected to bring some insurance and security in Montreal, seeing that both Carey Price and Al Montoya are sidelined with injuries.
