The epidemic of injuries to top goaltenders continues this season in the National Hockey League.
The latest netminder to go down is Colorado Avalanche goaltender Semyon Varlamov who is coming off an incredible 51 save performance agaianst the toronto Maple Leafs.
An official report from the Avalanche has revealed that Varlamob's absence from practice today was cause by a lower-body injury, that is now being called a groin injury of some kind.
No details at all yet on when he sustained the injury or how long it's expected to keep him out just yet.
