The Edmonton Oilers have assigned forward Iiro Pakarinen to the AHL, the team announced on Saturday. He was placed on waivers yesterday, and was not claimed by any of the other 30 teams. He will now report to the Bakersfield Condors

Drafted 184th overall by the Florida Panthers in 2011, Pakarinen was signed as a free agent by the Oilers in 2014. He played 112 games in the NHL, registering 21 points. He didn't register a point in the only playoff game he played last spring. This season, the Finnish forward only registered an assist in 18 games played.

The Oilers are taking on the Calgary Flames tonight.
