Every since the Edmonton Oilers made their Stanley Cup Playoff exit, there have been big rumors surrounding upcoming trades from the team, specifically when it comes to forward Jordan Eberle.

Now however it sounds like that deal is imminent, and while he would not confirm the deal is going to happen to a 100% certainty, TSN insider Bob McKenzie expects it to happen in the next few days.

“I think he’s going to get traded,” said McKenzie as per Fanrag's Chris Nichols. “Now, not 100 percent guaranteed. But if you’re asking me if he’s going to get traded I would say it’s much more likely than not that Jordan Eberle gets traded. And I would say it’s more likely than not that the trade happens before the freeze on Saturday for obvious reasons – protection issues, whatever the case may be.

“But in any case it’s interesting. You get all sorts of people who say that Jordan Eberle is being made a scapegoat for a bad playoff and that he’s been a pretty good player for them over the years, and I think he has.

Not only does McKenzie expect the trade to happen, he hinted at the fact that he expects it to come very soon.

"It’s not 100 percent guaranteed that he’ll be traded by Saturday. But I’d be the least surprised guy in the world if he was.”

The question now becomes what will the Oilers get back for a player that everyone must know they are trying to move.
