Breaking: Oilers have reportedly signed veteran defenseman.
Sportsnet

The Edmonton Oilers were reportedly in talks with one of their veteran defensemen, and now we have confirmation ofthat fact.

According to a breaking news report from Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press, the Edmonton Oilers have come to terms with 29-year-old defenseman Eric Gryba on a two-year deal. Whyno did not initially report the financial details of the contract.

That being said, TSN insider Bob McKenzie is now reporting that the two-year deal between Gryba and the Oilers will have an average annual value of just $700,00, very much a team friendly deal for the Oilers.

Edmonton had reportedly been working on getting Gryba signed, and it seems they have done so with a very reasonable contract.
