It explains quite a bit...

A lot of pressure is being put on the shoulders of Edmonton Oilers' key players, and some fans have noticed that one of them is not responding with the skill and talent we all know he possess.

In 19 games so far this season, Leon Draisaitl has amassed six goals and 17 points, which is less than what experts and fans who picked him in their fantasy pools expected.

The 22-year-old top forward missed four games earlier this year with concussion-like symptoms. The young player suffered the injury in the first period of a game against Winnipeg back in October after a hit from Jacob Trouba. He did finish the game and for several days, it was said that it was only an eye injury...

Now the forward is struggling and one Oilers source has told Sportsnet's John Shannon that Draisaitl has not been the same since the concussion.

It is quite easy to agree with the source, seeing Draisaitl's numbers compared to last year's.

Let's hope it's only a short-term slump and not lingering side effects to the concussion that can be very worrisome for the young player's future.
