I must admit I had some doubts that this one would actually happen, but it has in fact happened.

According to a stunning news report from TSN National Hockey League insider Pierre LeBrun, a close source has just informed him that star defenseman P.K. Subban of the Nashville Predators has been traded. LeBrun is still awaiting to hear details regarding the nature of the trade, where Subban is being traded to, as well as details regarding the return. Now this may seem like very vague info, but given the fact that LeBrun has an impeccable reputation as an insider in the National Hockey League this one is as good as done.

Keep refreshing this article for more details as we will be updating it quickly.

Update: It sounds like the Devils are the ones who have landed Subban.

Update: Once again it is TSN NHL insider Pierre LeBrun with the scoop. According to LeBrun the Predators will be receiving Steven Santini, Jeremy Davies and two draft picks for sending P.K. Subban to the Devils. The identity or conditions on those draft picks are still unknown, but once again continue to stay tuned for more updates on this crazy deal.

Update: In spite of rumors that the Predators were willing to retain up to 30% of Subban's salary, LeBrun reports that the team has not retained any salary in this trade which likely was a huge part of the offer from the Devils.

LeBrun believes that the Predators have done this in an effort to make a huge offer to talented center Matt Duchene who is set to be an unrestricted free agent this summer.

Update: Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press is reporting that the 2 picks involved are second round draft picks.
