Breaking: Palmieri out long term for the Devils
KeyStone Press

The New Jersey Devils announced this morning that their top-line winger Kyle Palmieri will miss four-to-six weeks after suffering a broken right foot in the Devils’ 4-3 overtime win at Minnesota on Monday.

Palmieri blocked Matt Dumba’s shot during the second period, made it to the team's bench on one leg and went down the tunnel only to come right back to the bench and not miss a shift.

However, he will now need the time off.

It is not the first time this season Palmieri is sidelined with a lower-body injury; he  also missed six games from Oct. 27-Nov. 7 with an injured left ankle. The poor guy also injured his left knee in the season opener and missed the Devils’ 6-2 win against the Buffalo Sabres on Oct. 9.

The 26-year-old was still able to record four goals and five assists in 13 games.
