According to a report from NHL insider Pierre LeBrun of TSN and The Athletic, the Florida Panthers have formally requested that forward Mike Hoffman provide the team with his 10 team “No Trade” list.

Check it out:

Hearing that Mike Hoffman’s camp has been asked by Florida to submit its 10-team no-trade list which is part of the player’s modified NTC. It is a No list. Doesn’t mean he will be traded but obviously teams are calling so Panthers need to be ready.

The 29 year old Hoffman was acquired this past offseason from the Ottawa Senators by way of the San Jose Sharks. In 57 games with the Panthers this season, Hoffman has a stellar 26 goals and 49 points. He’s signed through next season at just over $5 million per season, but it’s believed that the Panthers organization are hoping to rid themselves of some high priced contracts so that they can take a run at superstars Artemi Panarin and Sergei Bobrovsky via free agency.
