Not that he really needed to add anything after already winning three Stanley Cup Championships, but there's something about this win for Patrick Kane that feels like he has truly cemented his legacy as one of the greats of the game.
On Wednesday night Kane etched his name in the National Hockey League's record books by becoming the first American born player to ever be named the NHL's most valuable player, winning the Hart Memorial Trophy.
It wasn't a close race either, with Kane winning by nearly 600 points, and when you consider that the runner up, Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby, only got 800 total points, that is a massive margin of victory. Here's how the voting breaks down as per the NHL:
