Toronto Maple Leafs forward Patrick Marleau scored his 16th goal of the season against the Colorado Avalanche on Monday night in a 4-2 loss. This goal was Marleau's 524th goal of his career, and he is now tied with Bryan Trottier for the 35th place on the NHL's all-time list.

Drafted second overall by the San Jose Sharks in 1997, Marleau played 1,542 games in the NHL so far with the Sharks and the Leafs, scoring 524 goals and 583 assists for a total of 1,106 points. He also added 120 points in 177 playoff games. The 38-year old forward signed as a free agent with Toronto last summer, after he spent 19 seasons in San Jose.
