Breaking: Penguins assign veteran defenseman to the AHL
Keystone Press

The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned defenseman Frank Corrado to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (AHL), the team announced on Monday. In three games played with the Pens so far this season, he didn't register a point.

The 24-year old defenseman was drafted 150th by the Vancouver Canucks in 2011. He was claimed off waivers by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2015, and traded to the Penguins at the end of last season. In 74 games played in the NHL, he registered eight points. At the AHL level, the Toronto, Ontario native registered 58 points in 170 games played (regular season and playoffs included).

The Penguins are playing their next game on Wednesday against the Vancouver Canucks.
