The Pittsburgh Penguins lost goaltender Tristan Jarry to injury on Tuesday night and they have been forced to scramble to find a potential replacement.

According to a report from the Penguins American Hockey League affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the team has signed former Penguins goaltender Sebastien Caron to a professional tryout offer.

This seems to merely be an emergency measure as Caron has not played in goal since the 2015-2016 season when he was playing in the Deutsche League. Caron is also 37-years-old so he is no spring chicken at this point of his career.

It will be interesting to see if they feel the need to make another move if Jarry ends up missing an extended period of time.
