The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defenseman Frank Corrado from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League, as announced by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.

Schultz has been placed on injured reserve. The blueliner has officially been diagnosed with a concussion. He left Tuesday's game during the team’s 2-1 OT win over the Edmonton Oilers after being tripped up by winger Drake Caggiula in the first period.

The 27-year-old blue liner has one goal and two assists through 10 games this season and is averaging 18:37 of ice time per game this season.
