As reported on Friday by the Pittsburgh Penguins official twitter account, the organization Hire Sam Ventura as Director of Hockey Research.

“Ventura, 29, had been working with the Penguins as a consultant for the past two seasons. In his new full-time role, Ventura will report directly to Karmanos, providing a quantitative perspective on hockey operations decisions, including player acquisition and on-ice strategy.”Reported the Pittsburgh Penguins on their official website.
