Breaking: Players hold closed door meeting while coach is on the hot seat.

Over the week-end the name of Philadelphia Flyers head coach Dave Hakstol trended on social media for an extended period of time as fans of the Philadelphia Flyers called for him to be fired from his position.

That was followed by the Flyers' 8th consecutive loss on Monday night, a loss in which they blew multiple leafs in the first period to lose to arguably their most bitter rivals, the Pittsburgh Penguins.

On Tuesday night the Flyers once again tasted defeat and the calls for Hakstol's job have grown even louder, but now there may be something going on with the Flyers locker room as well.

Dave Isaac of USA Today is now reporting that the Flyers held a closed door meeting in the locker room after their most recent loss to the San Jose Sharks, and as you can imagine there are now huge rumors regarding Hakstol's future behind that bench.

General manager Ron Hextall will have a very tough decision on his hands in the next several days, but it's already clear that fans in Philadelphia have already given up on their current head coach.
